Athletic Conditioning Program

ach athletic conditioning program is designed by Dr. Sonnet Jarvis, licensed veterinarian, certified canine physical rehabilitation therapist and certified NASM personal trainer. With advanced knowledge in canine fitness, exercise physiology, sports nutrition and injury prevention, Dr. Sonnet will safely implement a cross conditioning program designed especially for your canine athlete! 

The Athletic Conditioning Program includes the following:
Conditioning Assessment:
  • Physical exam
  • Posture Analysis
  • Gait Analysis
  • Body measurements
  • Balance assessment
  • Strength assessment
  • Musculoskeletal injury risk assessment
Performance Nutrition:
  • Nutritional tips to help prevent deficiencies and avoid excesses
  • Supplement recommendations
  • Competition recommendations   
  • Off season recommendations     
Individual Conditioning Sessions:
One-on-one weekly private sessions with Dr. Sonnet for personalized
care, using the FitPAWS brand canine exercise equipment and a variety of other exercise equipment. Each session may include dynamic stretching, core stability exercises, strength training, and plyometrics (power training) based on your dog’s current level of conditioning, sports participation, and desired goals. Injury prevention, early detection and resolution will be a focus for any canine athlete participating in this program. 
                                                                             
Athlete and Client Support:
Have Dr. Sonnet on your dog’s sports performance team the entire
time that your dog is a member of our athletic conditioning program, including private access to Dr. Sonnet at qualified sports events and competitions, and phone and email access remotely.
